Last weekend, we had the privilege of attending the Symphony of Hope charity dinner organised by NKF Singapore (The National Kidney Foundation).
It was an evening that touched us deeply – not just because of the cause, but because of the people.
Through the event, we heard the stories of patients who faced chronic illness with courage – journeys marked by strength, positivity, and resilience.
Listening to these experiences was a powerful reminder that health is not something to take for granted. Preventive care, early detection, and community support are essential pillars of a strong and compassionate society – and ones we must continue to champion.
We also had the honour of meeting Mr Ang Hao Yao, Chairman of NKF; Ms Yen Tan CEO of NKF; Ms Oi-Yee Choo, Board Member and Chair of the Fundraising Committee; and guest of honour Dr Lee Bee Wah – each of whom brought warmth, insight, and an inspiring commitment to community health. Dr Lee’s passion and energy, in particular, reminded us why the push for preventive care and personal responsibility matters so much.
Thank you to NKF for the important work you do, and for reminding us of the strength and compassion that lives within our communities.
We are grateful to have been part of this evening – and even more inspired to carry its message forward.
