A Family's Legacy

The story of TOP International Holding does not start in 2014. It starts a generation earlier — in Malaysia — with a small group of operators looking for opportunities in the materials business at a time when few thought to look there. They built the network, the operational discipline and the relationships that would become an inheritance.

What follows is a story of honouring that work — the values, the hard work, the building of global expertise — always carrying it into a rapidly changing world.

It is a story about taking the paths less written: choosing conviction over caution, daring to move with innovation, in a decades-old trade that must continue — but with more care for those around us.

Before TOP.

The story begins in Malaysia, where the first generation went looking for opportunities in the materials business — a trade that few were willing to take seriously, and that demanded the patience of a slow-cycle industry rewarded only in decades.
They were hands-on, technically deep, and unhurried. They built the operational expertise and the partner network that would later cross borders. They did not run a fast business. They ran an honest one — and that credibility is the platform every subsequent decision has been built on.

Chief Executive Officer

Dato' Victor Tan

Dato' Victor leads TOP International Holding as its founding Chief Executive Officer, guiding its strategic direction and overseeing its continued growth and diversification across the global resources sector. He inherited a first-generation operating platform and shaped it into a multi-country, vertically integrated resources business — guided throughout by the conviction that integrity is the only asset that compounds in this trade.
Under his leadership, TOP became the first non-MNC bauxite operator in Guinea, completed proprietary port and road infrastructure in West Africa, and grew into one of Southeast Asia's leading physical commodity traders — without ever stepping away from the on-the-ground community work that defines the company's character.
