We’ve just wrapped up our second year supporting ChariTrees, alongside SPD, Kidney Dialysis
Foundation, Samaritans of Singapore (SOS), and The Business Times Budding Artists Fund.
Surpassing last year’s total, this season’s initiative raised nearly $1 million, with funds going
directly to these organisations and their work supporting vulnerable communities across
Singapore.
What struck us at the Marina Bay launch was the scale of collective effort behind that figure. It
represents months of coordination between SPD, the partner charities, corporate sponsors, and
thousands of individual contributors — a feat we’re honoured to have played a small part in.
The trees remain on display at Marina Bay till the end of the year, a fitting way to mark the start
of the festive season.
